Test automation for administration and settlement systems and online portals for meter readings
Project duration: 1 year, 9 months
Brief description
The customer offers a broad range of products for consumption-oriented (remote controlled) recording and settlement of water and heat usage. This is extended to include new services, such as creating energy certificates or wireless smoke detectors. The quality of the underlying IT systems, especially in the settlement area, and of the portals is ensured by means of automated regression tests via the interface, thereby increasing user and end customer acceptance. The automated tests are designed in coordination with the specialist department and they are then implemented and maintained in the corresponding test automation tools (Test Complete, HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and JUnit for Selenium and Rest web service). The automated tests are managed and executed in the SQS test center and evaluated using HP ALM.
Supplement
PTA helps the customer maintain and repair the existing test cases (particularly in the case of energy certificates) and helps with execution and analysis when new versions of tested systems are delivered. Furthermore, new test cases concepts for the energy certificate are designed together with the specialist departments; these cases are implemented on an interface or web service basis in order to increase test coverage and reduce the workload of the specialist divisions during the test phases.
