Technical modeling of Unix shell procedures using BPMN 2.0
Brief description
The customer uses the EuroMistral Road (EMR) software. On this basis, the customer has developed Unix shell procedures that prepare and post-process EMR data, functioning as middleware. Over time, the procedures have grown to an enormous scope. For the customer, PTA designs a concept for documenting the technical relationships and underlying business rules. PTA employees work together with the customer to document the processes in the form of BPMN 2.0. Unstructured information, such as texts or images, is also linked to the process models. Comments are added to the procedures themselves, linking to the process models.
Supplement
The primary storage location for the documentation is SIGNAVIO. In addition to the functions for BPMN 2.0 modeling itself, customer-specific attributes are used for additional information and the reporting function is used to generate an overview. Process recording and approval takes place together with the customer in workshops moderated by PTA employees; PTA is responsible for post-processing of the workshops.
Subject description
EMR, together with the individual procedures, accompanies fundamental value-creating processes in the customer's company.
