Supporting the creation of technical specifications for the new CSR program
Project duration: 3 months
Brief description
Requirements analysis: Supporting the creation of functional requirements with the goal of an informed approach to IT service providers in the context of a tendering procedure. The subject of the functional requirements is IT support for the processes of the newly developed social program for suppliers.
Supplement
The information basis for creating the functional requirements is formed by the documents provided by the customer (rough concept of the requirements) as well as the analysis to be carried out on the existing system or the actual processes. Solutions for the new process flows will be developed and further developed in cooperation with the customer. In order to achieve a consistent understanding and thereby a high level of quality as regards the requirements, the target business process will be modeled using the BPMN notation language. The modeling tool used is Agilian. The results will be documented in the form of functional requirements, although the IT solution (standard or individual software) will be kept open.
Subject description
The goal of the program – within the framework of the customer's social responsibility (CSR) – is to achieve transparency along the supply chain. Suppliers and their production facilities are checked, assessed, and further qualified on the basis of a developed code of behavior. Working conditions in the production facilities and the qualification progress (multi-stage procedure) are analyzed using specially developed questionnaires and checked by means of audits. The new IT solution should already support the acquisition of data, process the data automatically with the aid of various indicators (KPI), and evaluate suppliers and production facilities. An e-learning tool should help with the further qualification of the suppliers or production facilities. The inclusion of all procurement channels and the integration of the suppliers or production facilities in the recording and evaluation of the data will present important challenges.
