Support and further development of branch back-office system
Brief description
Design and implementation activities during the optimization and further development of a back office application for the branches of a Europe-wide enterprise. This application is used as a central database system for individual branches (integration of point-of-sale systems and reporting) as well as for exchanging data with higher-level divisions.
Supplement
The system is located decentrally on the individual branch computers. The branch systems are arranged by country and come together in a central Lotus Notes application (not covered by the project scope) that is connected bidirectionally. PTA coordinates maintenance, further development and 3rd-level support and supports the application development team.
Subject description
Developing an information system for central control and support for processes within a sales branch. The system has interfaces for exchanging data with the company-wide back office system and for connecting internal branch modules like the point-of-sale system. In addition, the system provides various functions for creating reports.
