Implementation of a start window as additional information channel providing the users of a CRM system with up to date information on a daily basis from online sources concerning important topics.
Supplement
The start window checks the application when it opens to see if there is current content. If not, a standard message is displayed, whereas if yes the first content from a list is displayed and a timer starts in the background which closes the start window automatically when it has counted down. In addition, the user has the possibility to cancel the timer in advance 3x. Alternatively, the user can call up additional information about the displayed content. This action marks the topic as read, so it is not offered again when the application is next started.
Subject description
The usual information channels used in everyday IT activities (newsletters, online portals) make it difficult for authors and users alike to highlight or recognize particularly important topics, given the wide variety of topics on offer. To avoid 'overwhelming' the consumers and to prevent distracting them too frequently from their everyday work, the start window of the CRM system was selected as the display area for particularly relevant topics. This approach combines a very good effect with minimum negative influence at the same time.
