PTA supports the customer in selecting a standard DMS by analyzing the document management situation as-is and compiling the target requirements, which are collected and described in the requirements specifications. The requirements specifications are used to evaluate the possible document management systems.
Subject description
At present, all company documents are retained in different systems, depending on the category. Among other things, the customer stores non-technical documents in the existing product data management (PDM) system. The existing PDM system has to be replaced for maintenance reasons. In addition, office documents are managed in an individual solution. In the course of replacing the PDM system, all non-technical documents are to be transferred properly to a new document management system to be chosen and introduced, from where they will be managed in the future.
