SAP ERP 6.0 Retail: International rollout for Austria, Czech Republic and Slovenia

Brief description
The central enterprise resource planning based on SAP R/3 Retail (connected with SAP BW) is also to be used for the European regional companies. These need to be integrated into the central system. In parallel to these activities, the connected business systems (branch resource planning, till systems, scanner systems, etc.) are introduced in the associated specialist stores.The management of customer master data is done with a pilot installation of SAP CRM.

SAP Solution Manager is used to control the project; the focus for its use is on documentation, testing and change request management. The project is coordinated by the customer's SAP Competence Center because SAP Retail is the leading system for both accounting, which is already used in the regional companies with the FI and CO modules, and for the logistical processes. The documentation is done with Sharepoint.
Subject description
After the rollout in the Austrian, Czech and Slovenian regional companies an AS/400 based retail system and the POS (point of sales) systems have to be substituted in Spain. In addition to rolling out the processes that are already established in Germany in headquarters and the subsidiaries (which are to form the guideline for the regional companies) country specific requirements have to be solved. Especially the POS processes need customer master data with tax numbers (NIF = Numero de Identification Fiscal) for invoices and bonuses. One focus will be the migration and associated merger of the master data, which will serve as a functional harmonization of the customer, supplier and item master data and conditions.
