SAP ERP 6.0: Implementation of internal and external interfaces of a loading system
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
The customer's loading and dispatch processing is modernized by introducing new industry standard software. The affected functions will be removed from the previous system and back-office follow-up functions will remain there. This will create new internal interfaces. All new internal and external interfaces must be implemented.
Supplement
In the project, the new external interfaces will be implemented using the SAP RFC standard. The necessary adaptations of the existing system will be implemented using SAP Workbench, as will the new 'internal' interfaces for synchronizing data stocks of the 'old' and 'new world'. The PTA supports the customer on the SAP side of the project with implementation, coordination and coordination as well as test management.
Subject description
Numerous components of the complex overall architecture (weighing systems, truck terminals, driver identification, paper printing, track control, etc.) no longer correspond to the state of the art. There are no more spare parts or they no longer run under common operating systems or the like. In addition, from a security point of view, there is the pressure to separate the loading components more strongly from subsequent administrative issues such as quantity calculation, customs and tax processing, etc. The decision was therefore made to use industry-specific standard software for the essential technical components. This project deals with the implementation of the interfaces between the accounting/back office applications remaining in SAP and the new shipping system.
