Expansion of an existing data model as well as the reporting components (queries and web templates) from the PLM (product lifecycle management) area.

Expansions in the backend: Inclusion of several new DSOs in order to process the newly added data and calculate new KPIs. Adaptation of existing transformations and creating new ones. Adaptations of existing multi-providers in order to integrate new objects into the reporting. Creation of update tables and filling them with currently valid parameters for calculating KPIs (in particular so as to allow future modifications to be managed when calculating the KPIs at a central point). Performance analysis and optimization so as to shorten loading times in the backend and reporting times in the frontend. Expansions in the frontend: Adaptation of existing queries and web templates and creating new ones (integrating new KPIs and project data). Graphical revision of existing reports.
Subject description
For product lifecycle management, the customer uses an application (project ID 2984) which exports data from an SAP PLM system before enriching and preparing it in the BW. The reporting takes place using web templates (Web Application Designer). In particular, KPIs are measured which support project planning and implementation (e.g. deadline checking on individual project phases, status and availability of necessary project documents). The data model expansion includes not only adopting new content (new KPIs, new master and movement data) but also a redesign so as to streamline the data model overall and improve performance. In the reporting area, the existing web templates had not only been graphically revised but also enriched with new functions.
