The customer is using a transport management system based on MSSQL. The system is connected to SAP BW via SDI and integrated into the existing reporting. Where possible, access is virtual, where necessary separate modeling and persistence in BW. PTA is involved in the preliminary analysis and conception, as well as in the implementation of BW data flows and queries.
Supplement
Except for the TMS-specific data such as dates and status of dispatch, the master and transaction data comes from the sources SAP Retail (material and vendor master, purchase orders and deliveries, etc.) and Sap EWM (handling units/containers, transport units, carriers, etc.). In BW, the data may need to be harmonized in terms of content and format.
Subject description
In Phase I of the project, the land and sea freight processes are mapped. In the case of sea freight, the orders are distributed or grouped into containers and shipments and ultimately combined into transports. The flow through the individual steps such as customs clearance, shipping, etc. is planned and controlled. In the case of land freight, the system activity focuses on the areas of scheduling and freight space planning for deliveries from the distribution center to the individual specialist centers.
