In addition to HGB accounting, the implementation of IFRS accounting began in 2017. This type of accounting will be integrated into the existing SAP BW in 2018. The transformation of G/L accounts to IFRS items will be carried out in BW, among other things to supply the consolidation application SEM-BCS with corresponding IFRS item data. In a further step, KPIs (for example, DB II) are provided for reporting to enable appropriate (high-performance) reporting.
Supplement
The data is extracted directly from the IFRS table GLPCT in the 2 SAP ERP source systems involved. In SAP BW, the data is transferred to a monthly/period structure and enriched with further information (e.g. business area) or adapted according to the technical conditions, e.g. by setting the same debit/credit indicator for all posting records of a period for bill of exchange accounts and by treating the annual carryforward separately. The complex transformation(s) are implemented in expert routines, which in turn are implemented generically in a customer-specific IFRS class.
