New implementation of the enterprise-wide broadcasting in SAP BW 7 logic.
Supplement
The customer uses a comprehensive proprietary development in order to generate mass reports flexibly and on-time for various recipients. The individual parameters and selections of the workbooks to be generated are imported into tables via flat files. The following pre-calculation and distribution of reports is fully automated. Within the framework of the project, the logic is converted from SAP BW 3.x to SAP BW 7 and the customer's proprietary development is reprogrammed for the most part. After the implementation, the broadcasting was supported for a specific time, and further applications were integrated in the broadcasting.
Subject description
Every month, several thousand reports are created and distributed automatically. The selections for the individual reports are exported from application-specific BW tables; the generation and pre-calculation is controlled via process chains. During the pre-calculation, reports are generally saved to a pre-calculation server (via VBA) and distributed from there.
