Implementation of the permission management concept for a global Salesforce CRM system
Supplement
The complexity of a globally implemented CRM solution has led to a very complicated set up of the security roles, where users had on on average around 30 assigned permission sets, out of 400. What is more, many users had cross-organizational roles, allowing them to see data from many select countries, though not all.
Subject description
The newly created tool PUMA (Platform User Management Application) provided users with a workflow to request new roles, which where then approved by their line manager and a reviewer. After a confirmation, the system would automatically assign correct permission sets. Then on, PUMA would continuously monitor assigned permissions and flag them in case of discrepancies.
