Design and implementation of an application for managing risks when processing IT projects. The necessary data is to be entered and monitored by means of an MS Access database application. In addition, a reporting option is created together with displays of assigned control measures.

The application is implemented entirely within PTA's standard Access framework. Multiple users should be able to access the application simultaneously. A user's access rights for the application and data depend on that user's role in the project. Project managers have the most extensive rights.
Subject description
Handling IT projects entails a variety of risks that endanger the successful, on-schedule launch of projects and compliance with their estimated budgets. In addition, these risks have a negative effect on customer satisfaction (users, specialist departments), thereby damaging the image of the department responsible for developing the application. In order to improve the quality of the IT project development process, there is a need for an application that makes it possible to record, classify, evaluate and present risk factors. These risk factors include planning risks (e.g. effort, costs, personnel resources, time), technical equipment, environment (e.g. dependency on other projects or systems), general framework conditions (e.g. changes to the legal specifications). Added to this is the documentation and allocation of controlling measures of a corrective or preventive nature.
