Support for carrying out and evaluating an inventory in a commercial enterprise. Stocks are recorded in two logistical distribution centers and more than 120 branches and then posted to SAP Retail.
Supplement
Inventory-taking in the branches mainly involves the use of MDE devices whose data is initially prepared by means of an Oracle-based PC application (see also project IDs 144 and 1890). The data is then posted to the branch enterprise resource planning systems. The posting data is transferred to SAP Retail using the EAI platform and then posted as IDocs. SAP BW is used to compare stocks between the branch systems and the central enterprise resource planning.
Subject description
Stocks are managed by quantity in both the inventory management systems and in the branch enterprise resource planning systems. In SAP Retail, these stocks are also managed by quantity and by value, and integration with accounting is ensured here. All valuation processes for movements into and out of stock, inventory differences, stock corrections, etc. are executed in SAP Retail.
