Requirements definition for energy data management

Project duration: 1 month

Brief description

In the area of energy management for an operator of refuse incineration plants and biomass power plants, buying and selling of energy is processed centrally for all power plants. Initially, a requirements definition is to be drawn up for these tasks.

Supplement

Currently, only the tools included in MS Office are available for the tasks that are to be supported. The technical (actual) data from the individual power plants is provided via a technical operating data information system. A solution is currently being developed to support the generation of load forecasts. The requirements definition is intended to form the basis for selecting a standard solution or develop a separate system.

Subject description

Due to the increasing complexity of the requirements concerning central energy selling and purchasing, improved IT support is needed for energy management in the following tasks:  - Time series management (meter data, mapping virtual metering points…)  - Contract management (individual assignment of trading transactions)  - Schedule management (e.g. corrective schedules in the event of a power plant failure…); Accounting grid management (not needed immediately); Portfolio management (identifying the value of future business); Settlement (preparation)  - Monthly evaluations.
