Replacement of the data supply from the previously used master data base

Project duration: 1 year, 9 months

Brief description

The master data-leading database on the customer's side is being replaced by a new system that represents a web service working according to the REST paradigm. Previous data supply routes (working with RPC) must be modified accordingly on the EEG2.0 application and EEG Internet portal. Since the development of this web service takes place in parallel, a mock-up server is to be developed in the present project, which offers a web service similar to the customer's new master data system, but is based on static test data extracted from EEG2.0 – hence this mock-up system only simulates the customer's new web-service. Parallel to the development of the various services of this mock-up server, the data supply channels 'mock-up server -> EEG2.0' and also 'EEGInternet-Portal -> mock-up server' are to be implemented on the EEG2.0 and EEGInternet-Portal. The maturation of the real web service put into operation by the customer should lead to corresponding adjustments in the mock-up server still used by the PTA team.

Supplement

The transmission provider processes the EEG using a Java-based distributed application with the Apache TomEE application server and Oracle as the database, and on their customers' side within their EEG-Internet web portal based on the Apache Tomcat web server as well as another Oracle database. The new master data supply will include six web services, and their unprocessed answers should be displayed in the EEG2.0 application in a separate dialog area for test and inspection purposes. After the conversion of the master data synchronization within the EEG2.0 application, the much more structured data from the new web service is to be broken down to the flat data structure previously used in EEG2.0. On the other hand, entries made by users of the EEG internet portal are to be communicated directly to the new master data system via web service calls.

Subject description

According to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), a transmission provider has the following responsibilities: (a) Discharge and reimbursement of the energy received by the distribution system operators within the transmission provider's control area, as defined by EEG, and the accruing market premiums in the case of direct marketing. (b) Recording the energy received (quantity and chronological sequence) and the reimbursement payments made. (c) Horizontal adjustment: Adjusting the received energy and the reimbursements provided among the four transmission providers in Germany. (d) Marketing the energy remaining with the transmission provider after horizontal adjustment. (e) Proportionate distribution of the incurred costs to all electricity supply companies supplying end consumers within its control area.
