To support planning, data is transferred from the energy trading software, Endur, to a planning database. This will be made possible by the interface to be developed. PTA's tasks comprise working out a new concept, creating a prototype as well as the subsequent specific implementation.
Supplement
The customer uses Endur energy trading software as well as a planning database created in-house based on MS Access. Data must be transferred from Endur to this database in order to support planning. For this purpose, PTA must first develop a new concept by means of which technical utilities can store the data in Endur and then transfer it, making the data susceptible to maintenance. Following that, and according to the concept, a prototype is developed which provides the best basis for specific implementation of the measure. Storage of data in Endur is carried out using UDWs (user data worksheets), while the data is transferred via SQL and corresponding views are created.
Subject description
At present, such an interface already exists and precisely accomplishes the task described above. However, the increasing quantities of data means that errors recur repeatedly and are time-consuming to correct. In addition, new requirements have been imposed by REMIT which are not covered by the existing solution. The new interface should rectify the existing problems and implement the new requirements. UDW is a tool within Endur which simplifies manipulating data in user tables, or supports it through independent methods on the development level.
