Re-Implementation of an import-interface for SAP master data

Brief description
Interfaces to dedicated applications which were supplied with master data (esp. articles, vendors, prices) from SAP ERP are reengineered and redeveloped. Full import is changed to incremental update.
Supplement
Based on the proposals of project 2638 the dayly master data supply of dedicated systems, which run on a SQL server data base is substituted. Instead of a full import of SAP R/3 data only changes concerning the master data are provided referring to a reference date. The process logic is based on an ETL-structure (extract – transfer – load). The implementation in the receiving application and data base is done in C# and T-SQL using stored procedures. The extract in SAP works via RFC and ABAP function modules.

The change from full import to incremental update leads to better performance und consistence of the e-business applications that use the arcticle and vendor data from SAP R/3.
