Re-engineering and further development of notices of defects processing in SAP Retail
Project duration: 2 months
Brief description
An application developed in SAP Retail for processing returns and notices of defects triggered by the branches of a chain of hardware stores is re-engineered. On the basis of a revision of the data model, ALV technology is used to create a cockpit that can track and process the individual cases.
Supplement
In the course of preparing for the international rollout of the SAP Retail system, the weak points have to be identified in the data structure for the notices of defects application. Additionally, a user interface that is already implemented for auditing of accounts is to be put into effect; this user interface will support improved tracking of the various cases and statuses of return deliveries and efficient further processing thereof. A cockpit is made available to users; this cockpit contains a tree structure via which users can access the relevant transactions.
Subject description
Processing of notices of defects is triggered in the incoming goods department at the specialist store where the reason for the complaint (e.g. excess or short delivery, faulty items) was recorded and the return to the supplier is initiated. The associated data is transferred by IDoc to the central enterprise resource planning system in SAP Retail so that further commercial processing can take place there.
