Prototype allocation tool for maintenance and servicing

Brief description
To support company-wide communication when requesting, awarding and processing maintenance and servicing work. This prototype generates and manages the Excel documents used for communication with a specific logic. The prototype demonstrated potential improvements in the areas of master data maintenance, program maintenance, versioning, tamper-proofing and authorization controlling.
Supplement
The goal is to distribute the calculation logic throughout the company. The expanded number of users requires improvements in the areas of master data maintenance, program maintenance, versioning, tamper-proofing and authorization controlling, in particular. In order to achieve this, a prototype was developed on the basis of MS Access. The prototype enables multiple users to work on the same data basis while at the same time offering the option of easy distribution to outside companies.
Subject description
The existing business process of requesting, awarding and processing maintenance and servicing work for the planning sections MSR (measurement and control), PLS (planning and control systems) or e-technology (electrotechnology) is to be improved. Communication is by means of an Excel document that is expanded to include an advancing process. The saved authorization functions are used by both the client and the supplier. In the department requesting the work, it is possible to identify estimated costs for the services listed in the request for quotation, for example. The outside planning company can calculate its quotation with the help of the agreed and saved prices, for example, and create a report for the department requesting the work.
