Brief description
The central application for mapping the business processes of an energy trading company is continuously developed on the basis of the adjustments required by the individual specialist users. The statutory provisions are also taken into account by the system. The focus points of 2011 are the market-compliant profile types and improvement of the discount calculation.
Supplement
The customer's master data application is based on a three-layer, service-oriented architecture (.Net-based thin client, application server, MS SQL 2008). The system communicates both with other individually implemented systems of the customer and with standard software such as SAP. The data exchange takes place with the help of various formats, primarily with the help of in-house XML formats, which are sent to a BizTalk server, which forwards the data in accordance with the relevant requirements. Development is performed in C# based on the .Net 3.5 framework.
Subject description
The system is used to record all necessary contracts (purchasing, sales) and the relevant data (tariff schemes, profile, technical data). Apart from the actual energy procurement, the business models also include metering point operation and energy consultation. Other priorities for the further development of the system include the integration of external jobs in the internal job management system and revision of the functionality for creating quotations in the course of further support for internal sales.
