Operation and Maintenance Master Data Application 2018
Project duration: 1 year
Brief description
The central application for mapping the business processes of an energy trading company is constantly being further developed in accordance with the requirements of the individual specialist users. In addition, the statutory provisions are taken into account in the system. The focal points for 2018 are the mapping of network charge optimization and the consideration of further deregulation of the energy market with regard to the metering point operating law to be implemented. In addition, the existing processes are increasingly automated in order to meet the constant requirements for growth and individuality of services and to support the ability to innovate.
Supplement
The customer's master data application is based on a three-tier, service-oriented architecture (.Net-based thin client (Windows Forms), application server, MS SQL 2012) and was originally implemented as a multi-client capable system. The system communicates with other individually implemented systems of the customer as well as with standard software such as SAP ERP. Data is exchanged using various formats, primarily with the help of in-house XML formats, the target system of which is initially a BizTalk server that forwards the data according to the respective requirements. The development takes place in C# based on the.net 4.5 framework.
Subject description
The system is used to enter all necessary contracts (purchasing, sales) and the relevant data (rate schemes, profile, technical data) up to billing and posting of customer documents. The customer's field of activity does not focus exclusively on energy procurement but also extends to energy consulting, metering point operation, trading with energy from feed-in systems and the mapping of other sectors such as water and district heating. In addition, the user group of the system is to be expanded so that access for third parties can also be made possible. The multi-client capability of the application is to be used for this purpose. Within the scope of the adjustments to the system, particular importance is attached to being able to react flexibly to innovations and integrate them.
