Brief description
Analyzing the performance of an OLE2 interface between SAP R/3 and MS Word. Developing possible solutions for implementing the clients per image.
Supplement
MS Word 97 exchanges data with SAP via OLE2. Poor performance is identified on some PCs in the context of the SAP link server. The causes of the problem are to be analyzed, identified and rectified. The analysis affected all levels of the ISO-OSI layer model. The location of the problem was identified as the image in the client installation. Various alternative solutions are to be developed.
