The hospital information system ORBIS from Agfa HealthCare, which is currently in use, is also used, among other things, to record the nutritional screenings carried out. This data is loaded daily (at night) into the connected SAP BW and is therefore available there (to the day before) for evaluations. The evaluation of this and other data in SAP BW takes place using SAP HANA CalculationViews. This allows the data to be evaluated in real time. When compiling the key figures for nutrition screening (number of cases, number of screenings, number of forms, etc.), you must differentiate between two views, namely the 'service view' and the 'discharge view'. Accordingly, two applications are implemented, each of which takes the special features of these views into account.
Supplement
From a service perspective, all care units that have performed a service in connection with a case (patient), i.e. all care units on which a patient was hospitalized during his or her stay in hospital, must be considered/considered. Accordingly, this view considers the nutritional screenings performed by these care units in the evaluation. This means that a case is not only counted as one case across all care units, but also per care unit and department on which it was located. For this reason, the application also refers to 'care unit cases' here. In contrast, in the discharge view, each case is only considered once – as one case – and this is the case of the care unit (department) that discharged it. In this view, the performed nutrition screenings are assigned to this discharging care unit, even if the 'service-performing' care unit was a completely different one.
