Modeling business processes in purchasing and sales
Project duration: 5 months
Brief description
In the course of introducing new ERP software, the actual processes in the areas of purchasing and sales and distribution are analyzed and modeled. An appropriate methodology is established for long-term and standardized process documentation.
Supplement
The actual process is recorded in interview dates with the persons responsible for the process in the specialist departments. The processes are modeled and documented with the ViFlow 5 tool. Then the process models are coordinated again with the main responsible IT analysts in terms of completeness (e.g. automatic functions) and are then translated into English. When the first processes are recorded, the content specifications and tool-specific requirements for the process documentation are developed and compiled in a guideline. The intention here is to ensure that the documentation of the 200 processes to be modeled in total takes place independently of the modeler or business analyst.
Subject description
The aim of process modeling is to create complete documentation of the functional processes that are to be mapped with the ERP software so that the documentation can then be presented to the IT specialists at the foreign parent company who oversee the target system.
