Modeling and documentation of logistical processes
Project duration: 3 months
Brief description
In the context of moderated workshops, the customer's actual logistical order processes are structured and documented in a transparent manner with the BPMN notation language on the basis of reference processes. This process documentation forms the basis for developing target processes and identifying fields of action with a potential for improvement in terms of work organization and technical support.
Supplement
In the course of the project, the customer's logistical end-to-end core order processes are recorded for the import and export areas in shipping and overland transport. These processes are developed in workshops that are moderated by PTA and last several days. The logistical reference processes provided by PTA form the basis of these workshops. A business analysis is carried out to record the customer's work processes, which are then mapped in the BPMN 2.0 notation language using the Visual Paradigm modeling tool. Known future requirements for target processes are documented.
Subject description
After the processes have been recorded, transparent and standardized documentation of the results is drawn up for the customer. An evaluation of possible fields of action is then carried out for the company's management. This evaluation shows how changes to the IT infrastructure and the use of new transport management modules can create the potential for improvements in order management.
