As part of a group-wide SAP introduction project, newly developed methods regarding business process modeling (see ID 2987) are evaluated and improved further. The focus is on advising the central methodology team, coaching the modelers (BPMN), providing technical modeling tool support, and providing support in developing the modeling specifications.
Supplement
On the basis of a pilot project in the purchasing department, the developed methods are examined for practicability and optimized if necessary. Project-related requirements are analyzed and evaluated and solution possibilities for the group are developed therefrom. The existing modeling guideline is further developed and updated. The project structures resulting from the functional intersections of the business processes and the templates for generating the documentation (e.g., BluePrint) are provided in the Agilian modeling tool. Project employees such as business analysts (modelers) and process architects are trained in methodology (BPMN, modeling guideline) and supported in using the tools. Further development of the modeling tool is spurred on by contacting the producer of Agilian. On the basis of the functional requirements, the tools Aris and Mega are evaluated again as possible alternatives for modeling business processes.
