Logistics system: Integration of further business processes
Project duration: 1 year, 4 months
Brief description
Further development of an existing application that is implemented worldwide around 400 times for logistical supply of large-scale construction sites by external vendors. This further development comprises integrating another business process, where bills of material automated by Engineering are sent to the application for further processing.
Supplement
This development is implemented using a DB link (MySQL to Oracle 10g). When the data in the intermediate table has been entered in the application, the system starts the database job that checks the data for correctness/affiliation, and then processes it further.
Subject description
Engineering validates bills of material for the construction of large power plants. These validated bills of material are transferred via the database interface to the application, where they are processed further per database job. When all the items in the bill of material have been assigned, the user is informed by e-mail that the new data is available.
