Interface and process redesign for the integration of a new portfolio management system
Brief description
Due to the replacement of the portfolio management system (PFM) of an energy service provider by a new PFM, the already established interface to the central master data application will be adapted to the new structures within the scope of this project. The entire process chain, starting with the data extraction of the raw data from the Oracle database on which the PFM is based up to the transformation of the raw data into the structures of the central master data application, will be analyzed and redesigned or newly implemented.
Supplement
In particular, the structures for importing the price time series, the monthly settlement prices and the portfolio valuation are analyzed according to the new PFM and the interface and the subsequent logic of the internal calculation requirements are modified accordingly.
Subject description
The PFM system serves to map energy procurement as a deal for the customer portfolio of the energy service provider in accordance with different purchasing strategies (12-, 18-, 36-month procurement). The customers are divided into sales ledgers for this purpose. Market prices form the data basis for energy procurement. The market prices and the sales book-specific prices form the basis for forecasts of future financial years and serve for the illustration of a discount calculation in the master data system. At the end of a month and also at the end of a fiscal year, the prices are determined for each sales ledger and form the basis for creating monthly and year-end statements.
