Implementation of PPA contracts for renewable energies and their execution
Project duration: 10 months
Brief description
The project gives customers the opportunity to manage purchased power plant services in their generation portfolio. The services are mainly purchased via renewable energy generation. PTA supports the customer in the design and implementation of software adaptations and extensions in his system landscape. The ETRM system, interfaces to contractual partners and to downstream processes such as billing and reporting are particularly affected.
Supplement
The ETRM system used is Endur from ION. The main focus here is on modelling contract details and calculating risk ratios. The interfaces are implemented with Azure Function Apps, Blobstorage and Kafka. Special attention is paid to the real-time capability of the solutions. The PTA provides support in the design of both the Endur adaptations and the interface solutions as well as in the adaptation of JVS scripts, downstream Excel solutions, project and test management and in the coordination and detailing of requirements in the context of the creation of a functional specification. The PTA employees also provide advice on architecture issues.
Subject description
The project focuses on Ista PPA contracts, generation from suppliers that are merged into virtual power plants, complex electricity supply contracts, hedging instruments and power plant leasing contracts. A particular challenge is the specific payment terms of the products and the transmission of the required plant parameters and power plant services with high temporal resolution. Here, a strong separation of billing-relevant and forecast-relevant time series takes place in terms of system technology in order to meet the different quality and timing requirements.
