Further development of an online shop with B2B connection
Project duration: 11 months
Brief description
Further development of a portal application that allows the customer to order spare parts for construction machines. Article selection can also be performed in an online catalog. B2B interfaces can be used to copy shopping carts to customer ERP systems and purchase orders can be triggered directly from there.
Supplement
The application is developed as a Java portlet for the customer portal. Via an OCI interface, customers can copy shopping carts directly to their own ERP system, where they can process them further and trigger a purchase orders directly. iDoc and Opentrans interfaces are provided for this. The article data is determined from the ERP system via Soap Web service calls. Orders are also created via a call to the Web service in the ERP system.
Subject description
The application is used as a central tool for ordering of spare parts. The department can use this to track whether individual items can be called. The B2B coupling increases customer retention, as orders can be made directly from the customer SAP system, for example.
