Functional specifications for integrating storage contracts into internet-compatible portfolio management
Project duration: 3 months
Brief description
Conceptual design of the enhancement to existing .NET individual software for gas portfolio management at an energy trading company to include the 'storage contract' contract type.
Supplement
The existing application is to be expanded to include the mapping of storage contracts in addition to the previously mapped contracts for energy trading (e.g. open contract and flexible contract). The contracts and market products are each mapped together with their pricing clauses and the price formulae for the procurement markets. An optimization module determines the ideal procurement quantities and the ideal storage operation methods for the stored supply paths, contracts and products.
Subject description
The contract and procurement market data combined with the current market prices and customer-specific load profile data form the basis for various evaluations. The portfolio optimization is intended to create a proposal for the ideal configuration of structured procurement, on the basis of the portfolio's contractual terms and for a specified load profile. In regard to the storage contract, it must be possible to store both the price formulae for the storage, and the contractual limits, such as the (graduated) reading in and out capacities, working gas volumes and other parameters. Storage usage, that is, reading in and out and the storage status to the day or hour, are to be optimized and shall also be displayed graphically.
