Expansion and clean-up of an Active Position Manager implementation
Project duration: 3 months
Brief description
The project involves current implementation of the Active Position Manager (APM), a sub-system of OpenLink's Endur branch solution which is used for evaluating and controlling positions and position movements. The objectives of the project include, firstly, cleaning up the existing APM installation with the goal of eliminating existing redundancies and surplus calculations, and secondly expanding the current configuration to include addressing new requirements.
Supplement
In order to clean up the APM configuration, the first step involved an intensive system analysis undertaken in advance so as to deactivate components completely or in parts if they imposed a burden on system performance without having any recognizable benefit. Existing service structures are redesigned so as to harmonize and standardize the calculated results. Following that, the continued unrestricted system function is assured by means of fall-back tests. The APM pages are adapted to the new service design. As part of the go-live, the IT department is given direct support in implementation in the productive system, and the users receive direct support on the trading floor in the event of questions and problems.
