Enhancements for an an application for settling redispatch measures due to industry-wide agreements
Project duration: 3 years, 5 months
Brief description
The project includes the revision of an application for settling redispatch measures of a transfer network operator to the full extent based on decision-making by industrial consensus between transmission network operators and plant operators. Guidelines were given by the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) section 13a for the allowance of redispatch measures and the german law for electricity market.
Supplement
The customer uses software based on Java EE7, created as a server-based component that performs data imports & exports automatically and manually. Furthermore, a client application has been created for the experts that enables maintenance of master data, management of import operations, and calculation of the amounts to be settled. The system is designed and implemented as a fat client application. Therefore the application needs direct access to the database.
Subject description
The application manages all providers of redispatch measures in the control area of the transfer network operator incl. their remote power plants and all required information for determine prices for redispatch measures. To cope with the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) section 13a for the allowance of redispatch measures and the German law for electricity market, the German Association for Energy and Water Management (BDEW) offers consolidated operation guidelines. These guidelines describe the financial compensation for plant operators, which are necessary due to expenses, proportional wear and tear and foregone revenues caused by redispatch measures. The industrial consensus needs to be taken into account when it comes to calculations and retrospective payments. Therefore the settling has to be evaluated and adjusted to the full extent.
