For the recording of greenhouse gas emissions, the existing complex process is to be simplified and improved by the improvement of individual software by PTA. The cloud-based application will enable the user to record various emissions for all Uniper power plants. The application is made up of a .NET5 backend and a Vue.js-based frontend. The application is part of a microservice architecture hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. An MS SQL database in Azure serves as the database.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are one of the most important issues for power plant operators. Therefore, it is of high strategic value for both the company and all stakeholders to regularly monitor, report, and review GHG emissions from all our operations and to improve and increase reporting of climate-related financial information. The application is also the data base for the annual EU ETS (European Emission Trading Scheme) reporting.
