As part of the digital transformation, the company is expanding its product portfolio to include a digital solution for energy management and industry 4.0, enabling a wide range of functions to be mapped in a low-voltage distribution system. The heart of the solution is a web-based application. This portal supports the user in the administration, measurement, analysis, optimization and monitoring of power distribution systems via Internet browser or mobile devices. In addition, the user can call up a graphical component to plan his power distribution networks and simulate power load distribution and load in these planned networks.
Supplement
The technical basis of the module is the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solution, which obtains product data and the industry-specific product data structure from the company's ERP system via interfaces. The graphics module is supplied with measurement data via an IoT approach based on Microsoft Azure and derived warnings are recorded in real time and visually processed together with calculated KPIs. The graphical component was technically developed as a web application using the Angular framework. Using Web Services, it communicates with MS Dynamics on the one hand, and with the calculation kernel that calculates the above simulations on the other. The web application and the web services were deployed on the Microsoft Azure platform as so-called App Services. The calculation kernel was implemented in Python and runs within Azure as WebJob.
Subject description
The functional requirements for the solution are that the products and their system statuses are to be presented completely digitally in the future. Several modules have been developed for this purpose, which can be purchased from end customers as required. The module 'Management of power distributors and components' enables the user to digitally manage and dispose power distribution systems as well as support in carrying out the necessary electrical tests during commissioning and maintenance. The system status of the power distribution networks and components can be monitored and controlled from both a technical and a business point of view on a graphical user interface.
