Digital contract conclusion at the click of a button
Project duration: 6 months
Brief description
For one of the world's largest insurers, a standardised digital contract conclusion procedure is being designed with the click of a button to obtain the customer's declaration of intent. Significant optimisation potentials will be achieved while at the same time reducing existing procedures. The goals are to reduce printing and postage costs, to reduce the existing high complexity for operations, sales and customers and to achieve a convenient connection to product modules and sales channels. The technical implementation will be realised on a newly designed company-specific platform with a standardised API and a proprietary company-wide object data model. In addition, international scalability must be ensured and a uniform UX/UI-compliant design must be implemented. The first technical implementation measure is the planning and creation of a proof of concept (PoC).
Supplement
The project includes support for business and requirements analysis in an agile environment. Due to the differing legal requirements of the divisions per product module, three risk level processes are designed. The respective workflows and business objects are determined and mapped with the help of domain storytelling, which in turn creates the basis for evaluating user stories that are determined and formulated in further workshops within the Scrum team. For a first PoC, the user stories are fine-tuned and the proofs of concept are defined. For further sprint planning and prioritisation, the visualisation method 'User Story Mapping' is used. For acceptance and coordination purposes within the management and business, click dummies are developed for the newly envisaged contract conclusion procedure from the customer and intermediary perspectives.
Subject description
The intermediary should be able to digitally submit an insurance application to his customers for the declaration of intent with the click of a button, so that the customer can complete the application process online at any time, simply and securely with a click. The new solution is to be provided centrally and can be used across all lines of business. In the long term, the aim is also to make it available in an international context – i.e. across organisational units throughout the Group.
