Organizational support for collecting and preparing test cases and technical support in implementing these are unit tests for enterprise resource planning. Amendment and expansion of a user manual for developing and carrying out automated tests (see project ID 2006).
Supplement
The test framework developed by the customer consists of a combination of Abbot scripts (for controlling the user simulation) and JUnit tests (for carrying out routine tests and preparatory or follow-up procedures). New test cases are integrated, in part, by means of programmatic enhancement and, in part, by creating and providing what are known as properties files for cross-checking the results.
Subject description
The use of automated tests for the customer-developed enterprise resource planning software helps organizers carry out manual testing. In order to improve acceptance of automated tests among organizers, coverage and quality are critical for existing and executable automated tests. To achieve this, the organizers have to become actively involved. For this reason, a process is required that will structure and accelerate the implementation of manual test cases in a concept for test automation. The focus of the cooperation is on the interface between development and organization. The test cases that need to be automated are collected from the functional departments and prepared for test development. In addition to this, implementing the test cases is a decisive component of the cooperation. The current development of automated testing is recorded in the corresponding user manual.
