Developing an automatic connection to a commercial credit insurance system
Project duration: 10 months
Brief description
In the context of the company-wide introduction of new ERP software, an analysis, technical implementation and the developer test for a data interface in the area of the company's credit management are carried out. The implementation sets up an automated interface between the ERP software and the commercial credit insurance system for daily, time-controlled, bi-directional data transmission.
Supplement
Each day, customer, document, seller and network data are supplied via an SQL database from the ERP software. Changes to the data compared to the previous day are transferred to various files and then transmitted to an external system of the commercial credit insurance company's. The data are used as the basis for evaluations which enable the company to react to possible payment defaults. The interface is based on SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). An integration service package plan is configured via the SQL Server Agent for the SSIS packages generated. The SSIS packages are implemented using SQL Server Data Tools (SQL Server Management Studio, Visual Studio).
Subject description
The aim is to hedge against payment defaults from the company's accounts receivable, as well as to reduce credit costs.
