Brief description
An existing Excel system for planning and simulating inventories of drums with radioactive waste is to be replaced due to increasing complexity. A new IT system is to be designed as an intranet solution.

Key criteria for the new IT solution are multi-user capability, seamless integration into the existing infrastructure incl. access options to existing (master) databases, central access control and ITIL processes. Data storage is planned on the basis of an SQL Server system; in addition, the provision of information from the technical operations management system is planned.
Subject description
The system is designed to forecast inventories over a period of several decades on the basis of complex inflow and outflow calculations and to make them evaluable via graphical displays.
