Brief description
Upgrade of a Oracle Database from version 9 to version 12 for the central billing system of an IT service provider. Test and comparison after upgrade. Evaluation of the results and coordination of measures for new development or adaptation of technical or functional functionalities. The project includes the migration of the Oracle data, as well as the set up of a new database server.

For the stability and IT security of the ERP system developed in-house, an upgrade from a current Oracle version is indispensable. Two versions, each based on one of the two Oracle versions, are tested and compared in the areas: Administration, accounting, controlling, financial accounting, personnel, project management, reporting. Problems caused by the conversion are eliminated either by software adaptations or changes to the Oracle parameters. In addition, the necessary adaptations of the ABS system are implemented in parallel due to technical requirements.

The application system comprises the functional areas customer accounting, controlling, internal accounting, personnel administration and a knowledgebasesystem. Data are prepared for the intranet and the website.
