The focus is on the conception as well as the realization of structural changes to a database, which forms the basis of a proprietary CRM solution intended for the field service. After collecting all requirements and technical specifications of the departments concerned, the adjustments to the database are carried out on site at the field service. There is no need for support or intervention by the users.
Supplement
The proprietary CRM application is implemented with Delphi. Ruby / SQL and BAT scripts are used for modeling the database adjustments. The database to be modified is of the type SAP SQL Anywhere Server 17. The lack of 'on-site services' in the IT area results in extensive tests in the run-up to the roll-out. The delivery should be as trouble-free as possible for the users.
Subject description
Efficient management of customer relationships is based on a large amount of customer data and data on service offerings. These must be quickly and comprehensively accessible to the user and presented to the customer in an appealing manner. In order for the field sales force to be able to orient its activities even better to the needs of the customers, a structural reorganization of the database on which the existing CRM software is based is required. Existing data must not be lost during the adaptation. The requirements to be implemented include, for example, the outsourcing of documents that are more than one year old, the deletion of old claims notifications, an EUDSGVO-compliant deletion run, data migration, and the optimization of database performance by creating new indices or data structures.
