Designing and implementing or reimplementing Unix programs for the file-based exchange of data between IBM systems to be replaced, an Oracle database on Unix servers, directories addressed via WAN, and external data sources; monitoring mechanisms.
Supplement
Data exchange occurs for numerous file formats of IBM systems via FTP to the Oracle database on a Unix server and vice versa; between defined drives via FTP or CICS (SMB, NetBEUI) on different Unix servers, from external data sources into the Oracle database.
Subject description
The goal is to incrementally replace the IBM-based IT solutions with Oracle-based IT solutions to be newly developed, with HP/UX servers and Windows clients, over a period of several years. Because the ongoing production cannot be interrupted, all relevant data are constantly kept up-to-date in parallel.
