Data integration for the purpose of digitising the value chain / supply chain
Project duration: 7 months
Brief description
The aim of the project is the development of a Digital Supply Chain (Digital Value Chain), which includes all relevant business processes of the customer. Following the concept of the 'digital twin', all important processes from the customer to the consignee will be recorded so that more comprehensive evaluations and analyses are possible than before. PTA determines all relevant data sources across all processes that are required to map the customer's most important business processes. The development of a concept for data integration includes both the identification and documentation of the technical mapping rules and their implementation.
Supplement
PTA has succeeded in uniting previously decoupled business processes of the customer. This enables holistic analyses from the customer to the consignee and thus enables the optimisation of the customer's transport network. Based on relevant data sources, PTA develops ETL/ELT processes to link data from systems whose integration has proven difficult in the past. By using the string metrics and analytics functions of Teradata Aster, locations can be reliably identified on the basis of their addresses and geodata, even with 'fuzzy matching' methods, thus enabling the systems to be linked. In addition to determining relevant KPIs along the entire (digital) supply chain, the PTA Tableau Dashboards are designed and implemented, which clearly display the previously calculated KPIs and ensure transparency along the entire value chain.
Subject description
The processes developed as part of the digital value-added chain create transparency along the entire value-added chain for the first time in an unprecedented way and thus form the basis for optimising the customer's transport network.
