Dashboard prototyping

Brief description
Using appropriate software, clickable prototypes ('click dummies') are created in this project. The following steps are performed: We start with a feasibility study for the creation of click dummies. After the evaluation of suitable prototyping tools, an effort calculation is carried out during the creation of a click dummy. Finally, the creation of showcases (for future tenders) takes place.
Supplement
In order to achieve maximum realism in prototyping, two usecases and corresponding user roles for dashboards are defined first. In the next step, suitable design and prototyping tools are evaluated. The most important criteria for the evaluation are: the possibility to create static UIs (graphic design functions) and to animate these or interactions between user and prototype, the storage location of created files, collaboration possibilities and acquisition costs. The evaluation of several tools speaks for Adobe XD, since the software offers sophisticated animation possibilities as well as basic functions in the area of graphic design. After selecting the tool, two dashboards are designed in Adobe XD and implemented as click dummies.
Subject description
Click dummies make it possible to quickly create different designs and layouts and thus test their usability. Interactions and processes between users and prototypes can be validated and adapted early in the design process so that the end product has a high user experience. In addition, exact requirements can be created, analyzed and concretized earlier in the project.
