Creation of product requirements for new modules for laboratory automation systems

Project duration: 8 months

Brief description

Creation of requirements for five new modules for transferring patient samples. The modules expand the capabilities of two existing laboratory automation systems of the customer.

Supplement

Goal is to expand the capabilities of the customer's laboratory automation systems by development of new modules. The new modules will increase the competitive capacity of the systems on the market. The PTA supports the customer with the elicitation and documentation of requirements for the new module developments. In workshops with stakeholders from business, project management, customer support, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance, the requirements are disclosed and aligned. According to the customer standards, the requirements are then documented for the project milestones.

Subject description

The lab automation systems of the customer realize the automated processing of liquid patient samples. This includes preparation of the samples (pre-analytic), transport to analytic instruments (analytic), and subsequent transport to storage and disposal (post-analytic). Firstly, the new modules expand the portfolio of analytic and post-analytic instruments that can be connected to the lab automation systems. Secondly, they expand the absolute number of connectable instruments.
