Creating a database-based component list for construction work in control technology. Managing functional releases to various hierarchical levels, as well as a parallel approval procedure from the quality assurance department. Implementing an authorization system for various functions/roles within the application.
Supplement
In the context of a client/server architecture, a client application is developed in .NET 2.0. This client application uses a database (also newly created) on an MS SQL server 2005. A large portion of the business logic, such as status changes and logging specific data in histories, is carried out by the database server using table triggers and saved procedures. Authorization control for individual roles in the application is carried out by the client. Interfaces are implemented for importing and exporting data from and to MS Excel 2000 and 2003. The import function includes a reconciliation with the stock data. The .NET development start kit from GS Stuttgart is used for the development. The project template for a 4 layer model is used here.
Subject description
In the course of a major conversion measure, all the control technology components have to be recorded together with their technical data. Re-used, replaced or newly added components for the conversion have to be functionally checked and approved. Additionally, individual components or individual technical data for a component require the approval of the department responsible for quality assurance. Changes to individual values or component statuses (release/approval) are to be logged (in a history).
