Continuous further development of a decentralized ordering application
Project duration: 11 months
Brief description
An existing .NET application for decentralized order processing in an international retail group is to be further developed and stabilized. For this purpose, new interfaces to a tool for automatic order quantity determination and a new plausibility check were implemented.
Supplement
A desktop application with .NET Framework 4.7 with data storage in an Oracle database is being further developed. WCF web services for accessing the ERP system are also being further developed. The application uses a mixture of WinForms and WPF interfaces. Both technical concepts were created and implemented.
Subject description
A retail company's ordering processes are decentralised using separate applications before the data is forwarded to central consolidation. Order quantities are determined taking into account a wide range of information from merchandise management. In particular, data on stock levels, sales figures and other relevant key figures are used to enable precise order planning.
