Brief description
Connection of software to customer consulting in the insurance area (project ID 3190) to the existing product sales software and the corresponding computer core. The project comprises design, implementation, testing and support for production implementation at the customer. The connection adds realistic and current rate calculations to the consulting software and facilitates the switch to sales software by adopting already-entered data.
Supplement
Connection of the Javascript-based consulting software to the Java-based sales software and the computer core are both performed via SOAP Web service. For this, a lean server component is added to the sales software and the pricing module, with an added SOAP Web service interface, is deployed on a locally-operating Apache Tomcat server. Great value is placed on reusability of the required logic (such as data model mapping). This is enabled in various ways, including using the standard interface definitions of the BiPRO e.V. for both components. This is based on the specifications of BiPRO standards 420 and 421.
Subject description
Addition of realistic pricing results to the consulting software as well as the option to branch directly from the consulting area to the sales software and copy relevant data not only supports the agent but also reflects the entire consulting process for the insurance customer more comfortably and transparently. Use of the BiPRO-compliant, stable standard interface not only improves the quality, but also helps to shorten the project time. This also has a positive influence on expenses.
